What is on earth do we need an Internet Explorer runs on Linux? Did we have all browser in the world that could just do that with much much faster than IE just like Firefox, Opera, Nautilus or Konqueror? … Someday, a Vietnam user ask me about how linux browser compatibility with his Internet Banking that demands an IE as the default browser to access the Internet Banking accounts. I replied, “Not a big problem sir, just set the default konqueor browser to act and detect as an IE on the setting page and you should free to go” … two weeks later he drop me an email … “bullshit sir, that’s not solved the problem !” … a big Oooopss … but sometimes reality can be very different with what you expect it.
I remember once I had installed an IEs4Linux but never try it with actual Internet Banking for my purposes, so I give it a try to connect to klikbca.com to my bank account using that IEs4Linux and I can logon without problem. Than I reply the email with a big sorry and a short tutorial how to perform an installation of IEs4Linux … and a week later he replied again “Thank you sir, I can logon to my Bank Account! Good day!”
