This is Hauppauge HVR900+ USBTVTuner on Axioo MLM-series.
Obviously, this usbtvtuner using the same chipset from emPia technology EM2861 just like on my previous post with Gadmei UTV330+ so it must be using the same em28xx module, which … thankfully … is already included in kernel tree since 2.6.27. So it must be automatically detected and yes it detected without difficulties on KLIXs-2009 after upgrading the kernel using 2.6.27.21.jf2 series as card number 9 by em28xx module.
Using TVtime the quality of the tuner can explain itself with a bright and clear broadcast receiving. The frequency pitch is precise compared to Gadmei model, it means if you select channel number 30 it will shown RCTI station immidiately and without a single fine tuning just like on Gadmei model. All 11 channel can be received with the default indoor antenna without problem, eventhough this is not so relevant since my home is on a good hotspot coverage tv broadcasting area because SCTV station headquarter are on my backyard.
For the country selection it should be good using West Germany because they have the same broadcasting frequency partition just like here.
The main problem is on the tuner audio. And because I only borrow this usbtvtuner without any accessories, I don’t have a clue wheater this audio using analog audio output that must be fed through the audio line input or the audio is transmitted to the system using usb streaming. Already tried the newest empia audio driver from mcentral.de dvb experimental audio driver with no luck, and because a lack of time I could not further experimenting the audio output. Too bad but I hope I can continue on another time.
